Bombay ice halwa
Bombay ice halwa is another Indian sweet made from sooji and sugar. It is a special variety of sweet famous in bombay city. The ingredients of this sweet is simple but requires patience and time to prepare.
Today i'm sharing a simple recipe of bombay ice halwa which is delicious and mouth watering!
Ingridients :
Rava/sooji ¼ cup
Ghee ¼ cup
Milk 2 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Cardamom / ilaichi 1 tbs
Almonds flakes 2-3 tbs
Rose essence 3-4 drops
Method :
1) In heavy bottom pan add rava , ghee , milk , sugar and put it on flame.
2) Heat the mix on high flame until it starts to boil and stiring countineously.
3) Once it starts to boil slower the flame and add yellow food color(optional).
4) Keep on the flame till it leaves the sides of the pan.
5) Switch off the flame and add rose essence.
6) Place the mix on a plastic sheet and roll it with the rolling pin into thin sheet (paratha thickness).
7) Sprinkle the cardamom and almond flakes and again roll it slightly to stick cardamom and flakes.
8) After 1 hr cut it into squares.
9) Allow it to dry for 24 hrs.
